Directors present: Tim Smith, Geoff Dunbar, Julie Paye, Betsy Gonnerman, Jim Burnett, Mike Silverman, Paul Coats Directors absent: Rob Edson, Kim Sheffield Non-Directors present: Mike Gonnerman NHGP: Jim and Geoff will be attending the NHGP meeting on Dec. 16, where the races for the 2016 series will be decided. They will be submitting recommendations from our club. Shoe recycling: Jim reported that he has sent off 2 boxes containing 50 pairs each, after collections at the Hanover Turkey Trot and the Jingle Bell Run. He has talked to Omer and Bob’s about a collection box in their store, and they are receptive, starting in the spring. Directors present: Tim Smith, Geoff Dunbar, Julie Paye, Betsy Gonnerman, Jim Burnett, Mike Silverman, Paul Coats Directors absent: Rob Edson, Kim Sheffield Non-Directors present: Mike Gonnerman, Bill Young NHGP: The UVRC team will be awarded money for winning the 2015 series. In addition, there will be a few age-group winners, who also will receive money. The Board thought it would be nice if there were either a plaque or banner to acknowledge this achievement posted at Omer & Bob’s. Jim Burnett and Geoff Dunbar will be attending the NHGP meeting in December, where the races for 2016 are decided. UVRC will be nominating 4 races. Directors present: Tim Smith, Geoff Dunbar, Julie Paye, Betsy Gonnerman, Jim Burnett, Mike Silverman Directors absent: Rob Edson, Paul Coats, Kim Sheffield Non-Directors present: Mike Gonnerman Treasurer’s Report: Paul had given information to Tim to report: balance of $6,742, with another $500 expected revenue from the Foliage Five Race. There will be about $500 of expenses for the prizes for the UVRS. Foliage Five Race: Course was reduced to a 5k, due to unexpected construction on the course. Approximately 97 people raced. It was concluded that the date, which conflicted with other events, reduced the potential number of racers. The plan is to change the date next year, to avoid these conflicts. Mike Silverman will get posters hung on the Dartmouth campus. Joe Jones is in charge of volunteers. Bill Young is working on the awards. Julie Paye is working on the t-shirts. Kim will contact Phoebe about DERT members running. Julie will send out an email to members, to encourage more involvement, both running and volunteering, including the Couch to 5k runners. Many of the participants have been running with the group on Tuesday and Saturday, and are planning their next race. Website/newsletter: Susannah Colby is doing the newsletter and Dave Sullivan is taking care of the website. Foliage Five Race: Date is Oct. 3. Expect approx. 20 for the race. Question arose as to what will happen after the race – i.e. will the program continue? This will depend on interest and demand. It is hoped that the participants will join the Tuesday and Saturday runs that already exist. Newsletter: Susannah Colby is now handling the newsletter. UVRC BOARD MEETING – JUNE 16, 2015 – 7-8 P.M. – RAMUNTO’S Directors present: Tim Smith, Geoff Dunbar, Rob Edson, Jim Burnett, Julie Paye, Kim Sheffield, Paul Coats, Betsy Gonnerman Absent: Mike Silverman 1. Couch to 5K Program: Program is now into its second week, and all is going well. Participants seem to be eager and dedicated. The director of the Canaan race will be asked if these participants can receive a discount. Geoff will talk to him. Also, it was decided that a special shirt would be designed for them, paid for by the Club. Julie P. will design it. 2. UVRC BOARD MEETING – MAY 26, 2015 – 7-8 P.M. – RAMUNTO’S Directors present: Tim Smith, Geoff Dunbar, Rob Edson, Jim Burnett, Julie Paye, Mike Silverman, Betsy Gonnerman, Kim Sheffield Absent: Paul Coats Observers present: Mike Gonnerman CBHM: Mike Silverman announced that the person who organized the start of the CBHM is looking for a replacement, and was hoping this was something UVRC would be willing to take on. It is a paid job, and the money would go to the club, to be used by the club or donated to a charity. Kim Sheffield and Julie Paye said they would be willing to take this on, and will be shadowing the people doing it at this year’s race on June 7.
