Volunteering

As part of a running community, we are committed to giving back. We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year including pacing at CBHM and CHaD Half, manning water stations at the Mount Washington Road Race, coaching our C25K program, and more!

Volunteer Challenge

To encourage our members to give back, we host a yearly volunteer challenge where members have the chance to win super fun prizes for volunteering at local running events.

How it works

For every hour of volunteer service either at a running event/race or trail work, you will get one ticket in the year-end raffle for a chance to win one of the amazing prizes. The more hours you volunteer, the better your chance of winning, but even one hour of volunteer work will get you in the drawing!

Eligibility

Any volunteer work at a running event/race or trail work by a UVRC member during the calendar year is eligible for the challenge.

Prizes

Every UVRC member who volunteers for at least one hour during the year automatically earns a piece of UVRC swag.
Additionally, there is a year-end raffle with a grand prize of a new pair of running shoes of your choice from Omer and Bob’s or Stateline Sports! (And possibly some other sweet prizes as well!)

Participation

Each time you volunteer at an event, email us at volunteering@uppervalleyrunningclub.org with the subject line “UVRC Volunteer Challenge”. Let us know the number of hours and at what event you volunteered. We’ll keep track of your hours for you until the big drawing at the end of the year!
