Board Minutes – May, 2016

In Tim’s absence, Mike Silverman chaired the meeting.
- Main St. Mile: Tim reported that the Hanover Improvement Society is not interested in this endeavor, because of the need to close Main Street on the Friday evening of the Nugget anniversary celebration. However, Liz Burdette from Hanover Rec is working on a possible Sat. morning in September for the race.
- May 21 Saturday Night Run & Safety Event: Bill Young spoke about the planned events for Saturday – meeting at the Dartmouth flag poles 6-8 p.m.; Silly Walk; Jay Walker Anonymous Meeting. Volunteers are needed to welcome students, to videotape, to encourage safe running and walking, and to attend a Jay Walkers Anonymous meeting. At 8 p.m., there will be a night run, led by Rachel Forcino, and participants are asked to wear as much reflective gear as possible.
- Summer TNT: Kim will be in charge. The Dartmouth track will be used next Tuesday, the 23rd, if it is still available. From then on, TNT will be at the Hanover High School track.
- CBHM: Julie and Kim are in charge of the start, and may put out a request for volunteers if needed.
- NHGP: The first 2 races drew a large UVRC turnout, putting us well ahead in the standings. Third race is Sat., May 21 – Bedford Rotary 12K.
- Omer & Bob’s: The question arose as to the details of our agreement with them. Mike Silverman will talk to Paul about this, and then to the new owners of Omer & Bob’s.
