Upper Valley Segment Running Challenge

With Spring feeling like it’s coming on in full swing, here’s even more motivation for you to get outside and start running:

Introducing the Upper Valley Segment Running Challenge! This month-long challenge, starting tomorrow May 1st, is based off of a similar running challenge that happened across different cities in the U.S.

The gist of the challenge is this: There are 6 segments located all around the upper valley; each are roughly .4 miles long. Every segment completion nets you 1 point, and whoever has the most points at the end of the competition, by 11:59pm May 31st, wins. You don’t have to run all of these segments — in fact, you could win the entire competition by only running one segment (a lot of times).

I thought that this challenge would be fun to bring to the upper valley as it rewards distance, perseverance, and time on feet, not speed, which is a fun twist on racing. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate — please share this with your running friends, family, and neighbors!

More details about the challenge, prizes, the segments, and how to participate, etc. can be found on the website: https://uppervalleysegmentrunning.org/

Hope to see you out there!
