Board Minutes – February, 2016

- NHGP recognition: Tim reported that banner recognizing the fact that UVRC won the New Hampshire Grand Prix has been received and will soon be on display at Omar and Bob’s.
- Mile Markers: Jim emailed, and Paul confirmed, that the mile markers, with the UVRC logo, have been ordered and expect to be here in time for the Shamrock Shuffle.
- Winter TNT: Tim reported that has been great, with often 15 or more people showing up. We have also had members of the Dartmouth Triathlon Club and the Dartmouth Endurance Racing Team (DERT) join us, which has been good.
- Coach: Tim reported that he has stopped looking for a coach. Kim is going to be here again this year, and we are looking forward to her return.
- UVRC/Adult Running Camp: Tim broached the idea of an adult running camp, perhaps 3 hours, 4 evenings in a row. The idea is not only to train, but to get information. Topics might include nutrition, core training, injury prevention and so forth. The idea is still embryonic, but those present were interested.
- Timing Device with Leb Rec.: Paul asked if UVRC would pay for part of a new Timing Device. This would be used in the Shamrock Shuffle, Skip’s Run, 4th of July and the Foliage Five. Mike suggested that we split the cost 50:50, and we all agreed.
- Couch-to-5k: Paul announced that he is going to add a 5k event to the July 4th, Red, White and Blue – 6.2. This means starting the Couch-to-5k in late April, before Kim returns. There was a lot of discussion about who might lead the program until Kim’s arrival.
- UVRC singlets: Rebeca and Jim are working on this.
- Laura Hagley / Olympic Trials Marathon – Thursday March 17th, 2016 from 7-8 pm
