The UVRS is a series of existing road races in the Upper Valley. The goal is to encourage participation and competition in Upper Valley road races, with recognition for performance and participation for runners. Runners do not need to register separately for the UVRS series; simply participating in the road races through their registration procedure qualifies a runner in the series.

For the few, proud Series Finishers (run at least 6 of the 8 races in the series), we present a “UVRS 2015 Finisher” prize. The Finisher prize for 2015 includes a free, guaranteed entry to the 2016 Covered Bridges Half Marathon (http://cbhalfmarathon.blogspot.com/), as well as some other sweet swag. Finishers do not need to go through normal CBHM sign-up, and most should soon get registration information. Contact Geoff Dunbar if you haven’t gotten information yet (for instance, if I don’t have your email address).
Age group prize winners (top 3 in each age group) receive a separate award.
The series award ceremony will take place at the Jingle Bell Run, a UVRC event, Tuesday December 8th, 6pm at the Hanover Salt Hill Pub (non-UVRC folks are welcome for the awards ceremony). See Meetup for full details and to RSVP: http://www.meetup.com/Upper-Valley-Running-Club/events/226800949/ If you are unable to attend the award ceremony, contact Geoff Dunbar and we can arrange something.
Announcing the 2015 Courtney Marshall Award, in honor of the late UVRC runner Courtney Marshall, who inspired us all with his dedication, cheerful disposition, and inclusive attitude. The award will be presented to the Upper Valley Running Club member who runs the most UVRS races in 2015. In the likely event of a tie, the tiebreaker is the number of New Hampshire Grand Prix races run for UVRC in 2015. If there is still a tie after that, the prize is split between the qualifiers. The prize is $100 towards shoes purchased at Omer and Bob’s in Lebanon.
