We’d like to call your attention to two volunteer opportunities at the Vermont 100 race on July 18:
- We need 8-10 people to staff an aid station in Pomfret, VT (near Suicide Six) from 7:00 am to approximately 1:00 pm. Volunteers do not have to work the entire block of time. Contact Liba Hladik at email@example.com.
- The Vermont 100 is also looking for pacers to run all or a part of the last 30 miles of the course. To sign up and for more information, please visit this Google form page.
Volunteers help support the running community, and volunteering is a fun way to participate when not running. The club needs volunteers for the races we put on and other races we support. At some races the volunteers may receive t-shirts, chits for meals and other tsotchke; also, at races where the number of entrants is limited, we may receive lottery by-pass numbers. Click the link above to see the current list of volunteer opportunities. Anyone wishing to add a race to the volunteer list should contact Mike Gonnerman (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Bill Young (email@example.com), who will forward them to the webmaster.
A Leader from the UVRC is essential for races where we officially volunteer by listing it on this site and sending an email to the UVRC members. If you refer Race Organizers to the UVRC, please offer to be the Leader for that race. Volunteers will be recognized with end of the year Tsotchke and Standing Ovations. PLEASE- Keep Track of your Volunteer Hours and Events. Report them to Bill Young in November.
